Orange County, NY Closes All Schools Due To Coronavirus Spikes

Orange County, NY, closes all private, public, and religious schools due to an alarming increase in coronavirus cases.

In two areas of Orange County in New York, all schools and learning facilities will be closes for at least two weeks.
The positivity rates in all of these schools are 27.6%.

The plan is to reopen the learning facilities when the positivity rate drops below 9% for two weeks in a row.

However, the local authorities are not too optimistic about it, as it seems that new infections and deaths are increasing nationwide.

The total number of infected people in Orange Country is 12,493, while the average positivity rate in the county is 7.4%.

The local authorities are doing everything possible to prevent the virus from a further spread, but a lot of it depends on every individual and their responsibility.

After all, reopening the schools and trying to control kids with masks, was not a good idea.
