Unfortunately, Miami is called the new epicenter of the world coronavirus pandemic, and it is compared to Wuhan by medical professionals.

According to the infectious disease expert, Lilian Abbo, people need to take all the coronavirus precautions and protective measures seriously before it’s too late.

At a virtual conference this Monday, she also added: “What we were seeing in Wuhan — six months ago, five months ago — now we are there.”

She literally pleaded for help from the media to help influence the global population to wear protective gear and help in stopping the COVID-19 spread as it is already taking serious steps towards irreparable damage.

Dr. Abbo said: “We need your help as media communicators to help the community understand that we’re just not repeating the same thing over and over just to give you trouble, we really need your help.”

Carlos Giménez, the mayor of Miami-Dade County and various medical experts, are trying to improve the situation and lower the hospitalization rates that are reaching 98% today.

Driving down the numbers after the new spike in infected cases and coronavirus deaths is not going to be an easy task, therefore, a joined effort from the community and the officials is more than required.
