Dr. Anthony Fauci is the United States number one expert for infectious diseases.
His opinion has been highly valued since the beginning of the pandemic, as he is constantly warning people to respect the protective measures, as well as get ready for the coronavirus vaccination.
In the last couple of weeks, he has been announcing a training program that will educate people on why vaccines are useful for them, knowing that one-third of the nation is refusing vaccination.
The number of cases in almost every state is on the rise, and everything leads to a new lockdown.
Today, however, Fauci came out with a new idea on Fox’s America’s Newsroom, saying that shutting down the country is not necessary.
“I’m not so sure you need to, all of a sudden, everybody go back to complete lockdown. You know it could come to that, you always got to leave it on the table. But I think we can probably get around what we’re doing now, and put a lid on it and stop this surging by being more cautious.”
Fauci is suggesting that only states and cities that have a surge in new infections should go a few steps back and reconsider a lockdown.
As for the places that maintain a steady number in coronavirus cases, the reopening agendas should continue.
Washing hands frequently, wearing a mask, practice social distancing, and avoiding crowded places are the main measures that we all need to stick to if we want to defeat the novel virus.
“If we just do that, I believe we can have a major step in the direction that we want to go,” said Dr. Fauci.
